They have vast networks of resources including multiple listing service (MLS), financing professionals, appraisers, inspectors, and contractors. They are also happy and willing to show you homes for your consideration and purchase or rent.
MoveSmart is completely free and there is no obligation to work with the real estate agent that contacts you. Your MoveSmart Advisor will connect you with a top agent in the area within 24 hours. If you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to provide another agent.
We partner with thousands of top agents from leading national brokerages and boutique agencies across the U.S. We don't charge agents any advertising, membership, or monthly fees to join our network, to ensure your agent provides unbiased service based on your criteria and preferences.

We are very selective in recruiting partner agents because we want only the best agents to represent you. Our partner network is made up of only the top agents in your area. We screen and evaluate all agents who wish to join our network. All agents must meet our minimum criteria:
  • A current license in good standing
  • A minimum of 3 years of active real estate experience
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
  • Have represented at least 6 transactions in the past 12 months
  • Proven sales track record
  • Strong grasp of online marketing techniques and strategies
  • Technical savvy and a strong online presence

A commission refund (also known as a buyer rebate) is a cash incentive, offered by a buyer's agent, to encourage a prospective home buyer or renter to hire them. Home buyers do not pay any commission fees when working with a real estate agent. The seller covers the commission fees paid to both the selling and buying agents.

Your refund amount may vary based on your purchase price range and how far along you are in your home search. Refunds can only be issued to the person or entity listed on the recorded deed at the closing of a transaction. In order to receive the credit on your Closing Disclosure and at the close of escrow, you’ll need to disclose this refund to your lender or mortgage broker. Depending on the property, not all qualify for a refund.

Example: Purchase price $450,000. Buyer commission refund at $600 per $100,000 in purchase price. Cash rebate after close $2,700.

Buyer commission refunds are not available where prohibited by law, including in Alabama, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tennessee.

There’s no cost for using a buyer’s agent. It’s completely free! Buyer’s agents are well-networked with access to multiple listing service (MLS), home inspectors and lenders and can help negotiate for the best possible home price.

Buyer’s agents are the first to see when listings go live, even before they show up on Zillow or other sites. They may also have insider information and know about listings even before they hit the market. They can let you know immediately when properties are available so you can make an offer before the competition arrives.

Once you’ve chosen a property, buyer agents can also help you negotiate your offer, schedule inspections, appraisal, and help renegotiate your offer should you find anything in the inspection. They’ll stay with you through closing and beyond.
Pre-approval is the first step in the home buying process. While we don’t require pre-approval, once you are pre-approved, you’ll understand what your monthly payments will be and determine what you can afford. In most places you cannot make an offer to purchase a home without a pre-approval letter. If you need to get pre-approved we recommend discussing with your agent and asking for a lender referral. Agents often have a network of lenders they trust and can help you get a great rate. Once you have your pre-approval letter in hand, you’re ready to find your dream home!
